WTB Flyback for Philco 48-1000

Working on a Philco 48-1000 and I've got a defective flyback. Here's the original Philco part #32-8331. Let me know if you've got a good one you're willing to part with.....thanks. Bob

ETF lists one available. Click the "Contact us" link on the page to see if they have it.

The one listed on the ETF site is long gone. That was the first place I checked. Thanks for the heads up though......

Thordarson Fly-1 or Merit HVO-3 are possible replacements, and both show slight mods needed to make them work.

Cheers,

That could possibly still work since the Projo set uses a normal Fly with a tripler circuit.

Stancor TV Replacement Guide 721-73 calls out HO-165 as replacement for Philco 32-8331.

Merit Competitive Cross Reference 669 lists Merit HVO-10 or HVO-91 (depending on application) as a cross for Stancor HO-165.

I did see three HVO-10s listed on the ETF list.

Does anyone know if this is a valid substitute?

I don't have access to the cross reference guides you have listed. Interesting information.....the only cross reference numbers I found are: Merit HVO-3, Thordarson FLY-1, Stancor A-8127, Triad D-11. I wonder if the numbers you've found are valid?

I don't have any personal experience with the substitution. These are a couple cross reference documents I got from a leaky old garage/TV repair shop about 20 years ago. I tried to attach a couple pics of the references to the prior post, but not sure if I did it correctly. I can scan the pages I'm looking at and send them to you - PM me your e-mail. At least you could see what I'm seeing.
