dumont ra-109 ... anyone have any interest?

I was wondering if there was any interest in one of these sets. ... it is electronically restored but here are the downs the c r t is not the greatest and is hooked to a brightnerwith a resistor that applies 7 volts which is enough instead of the 8 to 10 volts a brighner normally puts out... next is someone previously stdipped it and stained it but its not the best job but they didn't touch the doors or the the area where the screen and knobs are so its nice original.... the vertical sometimes bounces or is shakey .. tried tubes and it didn't change so maybe a mica or bad solder connection..,..and no back...... I can not transport it so whoever wanted it would have to come get it .... Mike

If you are trying to sell it, maybe try putting it in the classifieds?

Unfortunately that's a little too big for the space I have now. If you've still got it a year from now, let me know! Or if you have something smaller (tabletop-esque) you're looking to offload, I'm in the Philadelphia area, and I'm sure arrangements can be made!

Would anyone be willing to just take it and give it a good home?

It would look like Administrator, Tim has the incentive to pick it up.
BTW, I would have to disagree with your statement regarding CRT brighteners. I have yet to see a brightener that put out 8-10 volts and I've used a lot of them in 50years. The only one I remember was the Workman Super Brightener that put out 8.5 volts. It was the only one available for an RCA 23EP4, their first 23" 110 degree CRT. It had a different pin-out.

I could recheck if I get the time but it was high that's why I put the resistor on it to back it off after all if 7 volts gets the emissions up why not

Uh, well, not *exactly* . I would make the trip for a 10-12" set is what I meant. *That* I have room for as things are.

In order for me to get another console of that size, something would have to go.....meaning that I'd have to part out the 730TV2 that has been the bane of my existence for just over 2 years....or the CTC-58 with a weird picture problem and a cataract, that I have the caps sitting here for.
