WTB tube color "portable"

Looking for a tube color "portable" set. Not too picky about size or maker, though I am looking for one that the seller doesn't mind shipping. I would imagine 19in would probably be the largest that could be done relatively easily. Let me know what you have and your asking price, preferably with pictures. Thanks!

Yer in Michigan and you wanna set shipped to ya- Sorry but yer crazy !
That part of the country has more tube sets in good shape than any other area.
Just wait it out, keep doing CL, and even place a few ads, you'll get one.....
If you have no special model, or manufacturer, just place an ad, with a few
pictures of old tube portables off this site.....

I'll give an ad a shot. I realistically can probably drive around the greater Detroit area, but between school and work I can't really take a whole day off to go on a roadtrip to buy a set, which is why I was looking into shipping.

Here's what could possibly be a first run Zenith with what also could be a
replacement picture tube in it.... Not sure if it's local to you or not, and I
know it's not the portable you really want - But
CL is a great source, and you'll eventually find a gem !

That's a real neat set. Unfortunately it is too far for me but it just goes to show that you can still find neat sets on craigslist. I'll keep looking there and at estate sales.

It is a 25MC33....I used to have the same exact model. The 25MC33 was not their first color chassis by a good margin. Their first consumer color set was the 29JC20....The first letter was the year code so that set is three years into Zenith color set production, and was probably sold along side their first rectangular color sets.

I have a couple of leads right now for some tube color sets, so we'll see how those go. If those fall through I'll pm you tvdude about your set for sale

I have that set now. It's a decent looking set. And it's not terribly hard to work on, either.
