Post Wanted:

Going to the ETF show this week end? Our friend Karma Kiri is going there. I need the following, and, you can take these to him there, and, he will work out shipping with me.....

New Orange Drop .047 uf, at least 1KV capacitors. Need a number of these for my RCA's.

Good quality different values of 450 wv electrolytics to rebuild my collection.
DY1A yoke.
HVO1 flyback.
New old stock, or, good original power transformer for Admiral 16" round tube tv only Admiral. This set uses only a separate 5U4 on top of chassis. No other tube.
Need good 16GP4 picture tube for same. My tube opened an element that wasn't repairable.
Anyone got a good rebuildable chassis for an RCA 8TR29? Take it to show, give it to Kkarma Kiri, and, he will work out shipping with me.
This is the set with a built in AM FM radio chassis, and, a victrola jack.
Thanks.
Show starts tomorrow.

He is, after all, the original Karma around here, so the mistake is entirely understandable.

I have a 16GP4 tube in the silent auction.

It is NOT real good, BUT will wake up and show usable emission with about 7 volts on the filamant. it IS intact and holding vacuum.
Not perfect--but MUCH better than the one you have.

I also have a 19AP4 tube with VERY good emission in the silent auction.

No need to apologize, your blindness isn't illegal after all.

I hope you can use that tube. It came out of a midwest console, and it ALMOST got killed, when I got it, as the chassis was not secured to the cabinet and the whole thing fell over in the cabinet when I loaded it. But...it did NOT get hurt. As I said in the post--it checked VERY well--on my CR-70, Monday night, including a good life test. It did NOT need to wake up--it seemed to already have "woken up". It should work VERY well in some set. You got a VERY good deal--for a good 19ap4 !!

I went home with a NICE flat-chassis Zenith in a nice cabinet and one of those SS 9" RCA BW sets from the late '60's with the pop-up controls. I have LONG wanted a flat-chassis Zenith, since the one I missed out on that one in 05 or so--n a BAD section of town. I spoke about before-- I got out to pick it up and someone THREATENED me--from a porch, and I JUMPED in my van and roared out of there. I HATED to leave it--but it was not worth my LIFE or SAFETY !!

Not an Avanti cabinet. A pretty standard for the period console cabinet, with casters, all wood. Medium or so colored wood cabinet. in great shape !!

Hm, I didn't know that all-wood cabinet Zenith consoles were made by that time. Mine is particle board with plastic side panels, but it's very well-preserved so I'm not complaining. Also, I didn't know that flat-chassis Space Command consoles with the tuning knobs *not* hidden behind a door existed before I found mine.

When I said "all wood" I meant it did NOT have a plastic base like the Avanti. It may indeed have particle-board in it, but I still like it. NOT a space command set as far as I can tell, but I do not care--I am just happy to have a flat chassis SS Zenith.

It's a wonder to me that anything with a color rectangular screen was there.
