Wanted: U-matic S Tapes

I just got a portable Sony U-matic recorder, and don't have any U-matic S tapes to test it out. If anyone has a couple they'd like to sell cheap, I'd be interested.

I'm also missing the 12V DC power supply. If anyone has one they don't need, I'd also be interested.

Thanks,
Jon

I have some of the BIG U-matic tapes, but I don't think they are the S type.
If you live near a big city look for major TV broadcast supply houses, some of them stock outdated recording tape formats.

Hey Tom,
Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately those won't work for me; I need the smaller S tapes. I may end up just picking up a few off ebay, though I hate using ebay anymore.

What part of the world are you in? I have ONE Ampex "Umatic S" tape (part number 167-KCS20).

Hope this isn't too out of date for the OP, but I had one of those Sony U-Matic S decks and I was able to remove the top cabinet, then the deck was able to play/record full-size U-Matic tapes. I do not remember the specifics, this was something like 15 years ago!
