Give me a few days to dig it out of the shed--and make sure it is still ok.

IN the meantime--do NOT strip or dispose of those sets--UNLESS someone else here wants them to restore and /or hang on to them.

Sure, I'm holding them for you right now.. I'm not going to hold them forever, but I'll hold them until you get a mover, as long as it doesn't take a year..

Checked it out the other day. There is a BIG bumble bee nest in there close to it. I have to figure some way to deal with that. I THNK I have a long plastic piece of pipe I can poke it with, while spraying wasp killer at them....I'll have to look for sure. Another thought is to dress up in a heave coat, gloves and such--to protect me while in there.

There is ALSO a lOT of junk in there---that will soon be leaving forever--like an old. white, I think IBM computer monitor...did not even know it was there till the other day.

LOL.. I think there are a few ways to get rid of those.. Are you seeing about getting these sets moved yet? The sooner I get these out, the better off I'll be.. They are taking a tremendous amount of storage space up and I have smaller things that I have no where to put, and the roommate is going nuts..

Nice combo! wish it was closer to me... Those Zenith belt drive changers are great. I bought a console just to get one to play my 45s on. Just be careful removing the platter, the grommets tend to turn to goo and glue it on, and you have to be careful not to bend the subplatter. Unlike most changers the 45 spindle rotates with the turntable, so there is no scuffing of the labels when they drop. The size feeler is used to determine when there are no more records on the stack, so the overarm isn't used at all when you play 45s.

Like I said...IF someone else wants them that will NOT "trash them"...but get them going and keep them whole--let them get them. I just do NOT want to see them scrapped !!

No one else seems interested.. I'm not keeping it around for more than one or two more months.. So if no one gets it.. Yes, I'll remove the pic tube and chuck the rest to the road.. It's turning into a anxiety attack with the limited amount of space.. So, it's GOT TO GO..

Bad news...

My ride fell through. There is NO one I can get to pick these sets up for me and hold them till my friend is back there in December. i REALLY do want these sets--but there are just out of my reach right now. I did not really want to tell you, BUT also could NOT just leave you "hanging" either--like has been done to me many times. That just would not be right.

SO--unless you can hold on to at LEAST the combo till Dec....I am out of luck...

Jack.
