Hickok model 532 Tube tester for sale.

This model 532 is from about 1947. It is really neat to use, but most specifically if you primarily test early TV and radio tubes. I say this to avoid confusion and to keep someone from getting equipment that will not do what they want it to. So if you are messing with color "roundie" TV sets, this isn't the tester you need. GREAT machine for the vintage radio buff though; probably about the best! It tests mutual conductance and has a number of "update" scrolls that get you from the 40s to the 50s.

I like the somewhat obscure electronics terms used like "English" and "Micromhos" that are used for setting designations. They really took tube testing a lot more seriously back then as they were state of the art and engineers and scientists looked at them as the heart of electronics, and they were. Anyway, the condition is what I would call fair. The case had surface rusted, so I sanded and painted it. All of the controls, switches, rheostats, etc. work and it is electronically sound. That is the main thing.

I am quite aware of what I wrote, and the lack of pictures. If there is interest in this, then we (interested parties) can sort out the rest. Worthless is much better than rude!

Too bad your also not quite aware that I was trying , in a somewhat joking way , to ask for the ONLY two "P"s that mean anything in an ad , PICTURES and PRICE . Given your response I'll seek a tubetester elsewhere

Then just ask, or send a PM. Why take the strategy of flying a flag across my thread telling me that it (the thread and effort) is worthless; especially if you are interested? And since you are NOT, then why are you here? For fun?

Look , I did just ask , I asked for pictures and price , the two things I'd need to determine if any further communication is needed . You came back and called me rude . If you look at the little "This thread is worthless without pictures" icon you'll see that the flags are being held by smileys , and I thought you'd see the humor in the "just the facts" approach . Guess not . And yes , BTW , I WAS interested , but since i STILL have no price or pics , and you still seem to want to maintain that i'm rude for wanting them , I'll move on to an ad where I can see what I'm buying and how much I'm expected to pay for it . Later ....

LOL! Glad he went away! Geez! Anyway, sorry folks for the flame job. Perhaps I should be more specific and have lots of cool pics. I just wanted to let any interested party know what I have pretty much. This stuff to me is hard to put a specific price on, but I have found that a deal is not hard to come to terms on if someone is looking for what you have. I'm not trying to get rich like so many folks these days. On the flip, a decent Hickok tube tester is a good piece of quality equipment and is essential in our hobby IF its limitations fit your needs.

By far , the most immature reaction I've ever seen to someone being asked ??????? HOW MUCH ?????? this merchandise being sold is going for ! You sir , win the salesman of the year award The reason no one has responded is because NO ONE is willing to deal with someone who can't be bothered to post at least one picture and maybe some other small detail , like , oh , i don/t know , maybe the flippin P R I C E !!!!!!!!!!

Good luck not selling your unseen , unpriced tubetester , I've already bought one from someone who was actually looking to sell one .........

You sir no nothing of common tact. Given that your points, or some of them may be valid; nobody asked you to flame my thread or my tactics. In my last post I simply apologized to everyone who MAY have bothered to read my lousy thread for having to read a bunch of garbage from a complainer! Since "NO ONE" is willing to deal with me, then WHY are YOU bothering me so?

Don't they have moderators for agitators?

Ayup.

Just going to close this thread. Next time, might be a good idea to at least post a price.
