Shipping Pool Around ETF

It's getting to be that time of year again and I don't know about you guys but I'm getting excited. The convention is a great opportunity to get some sets moved around the country and solve one of the biggest problems we all face SHIPPING COST! Last year at the ETF convention I was involved in some shipping arrangements for folks that couldn't make it out. I thought I would start a thread early this year and do it again. I am coming from the Pittsburgh area and can take a limited number of sets to, or from the convention if that helps any one out. If you are driving to the convention and can help, please post and tell us where you are from.

Yeah, I like this idea. I was going to buy a Zenith roundie from Marty59 but probably can't now because I'm not going to the convention. If he did bring it there, I and I sent him payment, is there someone who could bring it to Chicago? If not, I'll let him know that I can't buy it.

I got a new much smaller car and can't take a TV or the PA system like I did 2 years ago - but this reminds me to ask if anyone is interested in carpooling from Chicago or Lake County IL. I want to drive, and I want to go Thursday and return Monday. I can take ONE person comfortably if they're not too big (it's a Mustang). So if location and dates fit, let me know. Could also take some small items.

No rush unless you think someone else might take your spot! - but if we can plan ahead, that's great.

I am going to convention on Thursday, leaving in the wee hours (4AM) of the the morning from Milwaukee so I can get through the Chicago area before traffic gets bad. I may be able to transport something back to my area from ETF. I drive a full size Ford van. Also if you need a set brought to convention I may be able to help if the set is close to my travel route.

Is there someone that is coming through ST Louis MO area that can transport a 16" porthole console to convention for me ??? ......... I bought one from a fellow in the St. Louis area and I need to get it up to Milwaukee. If someone could transport it to convention, I could bring it home from ETF with me on my return trip to Milwaukee.

Hey Bob, there is a set I'm supposed to but at the ETF this year, it's a small Zenith roundie. If I rode with Wayne, could you transport it back for me? If not, no biggie. Thanks!

Hi Mark,

Sure, I think I will have some room. What motel are you staying at? I will
be with John Folsom at the Motel 6, a dump but it's cheap.

Bob

Bob,
I usually take a lower route when traveling to Columbus. If someone around the St. Louis area can transport that porthole then great. However, as a back up I could take the "high road". So far, my plans are open.

Thanks Marty,

Your offer is greatly appreciated. If nobody in the area steps up I will take you up on your offer. It will save me a very long drive from Milwaukee to St Louis and back. And I will be happy to compensate you with what ever you feel is fair for some gas money. The actual location is Warrenton MO 63383

I'm driving in from St Louis in a Toyota Camry so it would have to be rather small.
