Three Sets need a Good Home

I am moving within the next 4 weeks and have 3 sets that need restored that I would gladly give to a good home.

1. 1965 Philco Color, worked until about 2 years ago with a very nice picture. I'm pretty sure it's the flyback transformer that's shot.

2. Philco Predicta. Kinda works or did last time I tried it but after about 20 minutes of play the tube goes dark.

3. RCA 1951-53 (not sure of the year). Did work years ago before I moved down from Ohio but has been sitting in the garage for a long time.

Wife won't let me move them, can't blame her. Please, someone give them a good home. If you want to give me something in return or just do me a favor somewhere down the line that's fine. I am not looking for any $$$ and I told my wife it would be a mortal sin for me to leave them on the curb given my love of vintage electronics.

My email address has changed, ihmeyers19@yahoo.com. I am located in central Palm Beach County, Florida. Boynton Beach to be precise.

Regards,
Ian

Damn shame....

Perhaps if you contact a radio/TV collector club in your area, someone would be interested. Here's a list of USA clubs:

Too good for the trash, please find a way to get them into good hands somewhere-if I were within 2 hours, maybe 3, I'd jump on that Philco color set in a heartbeat. Too many miles in between, though.

I will do what I can not to throw them away. We have to move on 2/20 as I found out Monday my landlord hasn't paid the mortgage for 3 years and it's being foreclosed upon. It's possible I'm staying local but I really don't want to move these 3 sets. I already have a very large '72 Zenith console I'm taking with me.

If I wasn't clear in my earlier post I will give them away. OK, maybe I'd hold out for a replacement plastic door for my Zenith console and some assistance in getting that goofy, but very cool big remote fixed (stopped working 6 months ago) ...Seriously I will do everything I can not to throw them away. It's just that we have so much stuff and my next move is in part to reduce clutter.

Please contact me if you have any interest. I am in Boynton Beach, Florida which is central Palm Beach County. My house is about 1/2m off the Boynton Beach Blvd exit on the Florida Tpke.

Regards,
Ian

Are you near Del Ray Beach?
My brother lives there - he might be interested in the Predicta.
