One of the things I'd like to find is a big screen B&W TV, like a 25" or 27" tube. I have a 1955 Setchell Carlson with a 21" which is a step in the right direction. I'm also into record changers, Still looking for a Markel that plays both sides of the records, and a changer made by the Milwaukee Stamping co. Also want one of the early 50's Motorola -built changers that has a rotating 45rpm spindle. Also looking for a GE magnetic stereo cartridge like the VR-22 that has both 78 and lp needles.

I'm in the Harrisburg, PA area. Old set seem tough to find around here.

I know they exist because others are finding them.

Looking for a 80s style RCA Colortrak, XL 100 would be acceptable.

Only 19" sets please near the Harrisburg area.

Well, I got the CTC-7. Now I wouldn't mind having a CTC-4, though space is becoming a real issue around my place.

http://www.videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=261020

2. Someone I could pay to finish restoring my RCA KCS72A and Motorola VT-71. Both have been recapped, but still have other problems that I don't know how to deal wit yet...

3. Any working color/B&W tube/hybrid set that is reasonably priced, or located somewhere in Texas/Missouri...

Wow! I never thought 70s-80s plastic 19" solid state would be anything that someone would seek out as old or nostalgic. I guess it's all relative to your age and what you remember. And the 80s really was a long time ago. I just figured that the charm was gone by then.

This makes me think twice about letting my approx. 1980 Panasonic play often around the clock. Panasonic really made some bullet proof stuff in the 80s in my experience with their VCRs and this TV. I just never thought of it as something that maybe I should preserve before my heavy use sends it to the junk pile.

Anyone into this stuff would have had a ball for the couple of weeks that a local Goodwill had probably 100 such TVs in their parking lot that they had no way of getting rid of when I spoke to them. "Take what you want;PLEASE!" I didn't bother. A few 50s TVs, one "roundie" color Zenith and way too many radios make it hard to justify bringing home anything these days. That's where it all leads unless you are smart enough and lucky enough to be turning them over for cash. But it's fun along the road and great that there are people preserving examples of things from all time periods.

Also, if anyone can pick up and deliver to south central Virginia, I would like to trade up on a good working round tube color set. Probably a Zenith. I have a 1964 Zenith 5111 that I would have to work into the deal. It has worked beautifully and just needs a recap. It's all working now with some sort of video problem after getting past a number of other problems. I simply don't have the time for a restoration, but I want one to watch. I can throw a 1948 RCA 10" and an early 50s Motorola 17" into the deal as well along with some radios if interested.

How many more tapes do you want. I have all sorts of period Rock and carrying cases too. Some are still factory sealed.
