I agree. That color Zenith does look great and it's free too. I can't afford a 4 and 1/2 hour drive right now but I really hope someone else snags it. It seems like the 1980 B&W is getting poor reception. Is it hooked up to an outdoor antenna or just the rabbit ears?

The '80 Zenith had a crappy picture because it was hooked to no antenna at all. The rabbit ears were hooked to the Magnavox. All sets are receiving a picture transmitted from my B-T agile modulator (set to ch 11) upstairs.

The DuMont is just not in it's case (not working)

All that's left is the Magnavox console and the color Zenith.

Love the mid-century styling on that Magnavox!! Hope it can find a new home.

I love that Magnavox, it's a shame it isn't near here.
A Magnavox console collector had a similar console down here before the three hurricanes. It had the spindle legs on the brass feet though. The store it was in never reopened and the fate of the entire collection is unknown.

I'd give you 15$ for the 1970 zenith color if you could bring it to the ETF meet in Ohio. I have esentially the same set and would not mind keeping a spare so I have a source of unobtainium should I ever need it.

You are lucky. This is probably the nicest looking picture I've seen on a old Zenith.

Thanks. I got mine from drh4683 for around 150$ when he listed it on ebay. I got a real kick out of watching the four part repair video on youtube when I stumbled upon it a couple of months back. Though I have to say I like the 70's modern cabinet on mine better than the one available here. The picture is great on mine, but I've had to do some work to keep it good, and there are still a few bugs I need to work out. Despite that it is the best daily use set I've had.
