Help me identify this 1973-1974 Zenith 25" console TV? Also free to anyone...

I was cleaning out my parent's garage and shocked to see a 1973-1974 Zenith 25" Chromocolor solid-state console TV that I haven't seen since 1993 when I was a kid. Even if it was in 1993, it was non-functional at that time. Looks to be in good condition. My parents buried a non-functional TV in their garage for 18 years. It powers on, but picture is all in scrambles. Last time it was used in 1993, it has a problem with the picture rolling up and down acting like V-Hold is non-functional. Color was decent when last used in 1993. Picture tube does show good brightness, though. Maybe it's actually working once a cleaning job is done. My dad installed a robust, huge brushless fan at the back that is designed to run forever. It is missing a front plate to show the Zenith name. Does anyone know what chassis it is, and is it worth giving away for free or dump it into an electronic recycling center?

It is loaded in my truck already to decide which fate it will go. I am located at the Los Angeles, CA area, and I will give free delivery within 50 miles radius.

Any taker? PM me your address and cell phone number, and I will drop it off.

I think that set is older than 1978. I sold Zenith's during that time-frame, and most had the 1 knob, electronic tuning. Nice set, hope someone is able to get it.

Yes, that is a horizontal chassis solid state chromacolor from around '73-'74 (no newer than '74). It was probably the best chassis that Zenith ever built and someone needs to save it.

maybe CTC-17 can get it. I would love to have the chassis if its a 25DC56 as a backup to my Avanti. Also the CRT maybe a good zenith. Maybe I can talk him into getting it and if he does not want it, gut it and send me the parts.

It's either a 25DC56 or 25EC58 chassis... I'll give it a good home ONLY if nobody else speaks up. I have a few of those sitting around, and another won't hurt, I Guess . Again, I don't want to snatch it out from anybody else who might want it. PM sent with phone #.

No, I don't want it get dumped, but my parents asked me to dump it. If I was not here cleaning out the garage, my parents would already dump it.

He sent me a PM, but he hasn't officially want to claim it yet. It currently sits on my truck bed exposing to fog and hot sun right now, and, even worse, rain (not yet). The longer it doesn't get claimed, the less likely the TV is going to work, the more damage to the cabinet, and the more likely I will be forced to give it to e-waste in 10 more days since it will already be melted and chipped off down to the ground.

I don't have any place to store it indoors as my parents don't want it and called it trash.

Did you cover it up? I'll move this to the classifieds with a redirect so it gets more attention. I hope someone grabs it, those are great sets.
