WTB: Leg for '65 Philco roundie.

I'll see if I can borrow a camera as mine was recently stolen, then I'll post a pic but I figured someone already knows what it looks like. It is a leg that is square and tapers down from about 2" across on the top where the screw is and down to about an inch. A dark stained one would be preferred. The set is in a contemporary cabinet, model P5466WA Chassis 16M91.Thanks in advance for any help getting gimpy on all fours again.

How long should it be? I just hauled a bushel basket out of the attic of a TV shop. I could look. I haven't been on here much lately, but I'll try to check in.

I'll measure it and post a pic tomorrow, I found a camera to use. Thanks Bryan!

Here's the pics, if I can't find a leg I suppose I could make one. I'd rather find one though.

I think that is his CTC-9 chassis, as it looks pretty darn close to mine. At least that wouldn't be the toughest leg to fabricate if push came to shove.

I think Nick's razzin me lol. That is the CTC9B chassis from my "Anniversary model". There are some good before and after pics for that future thread. My set was nasty inside! Let's just say it took almost 6 hours with pure glass cleaner concentrate, a toothbrush, microfiber cloth and burning red eyes from the ammonia to cut the smoke off that chassis to make it as nice as you see. The wires were all one color before, BLACK!

Gross!

I'm so glad none of the sets I've done so far had that going on. I hate de-gunking things, especially car parts. I don't mind cleaning cadmium plating because it's basically a normal thing for an old chassis to have, but getting that smoke off would just kill me. Especially since I no longer smoke, it turns my stomach.

I hate de-gunking things too but this sh*t would have bothered me to leave it on the chassis. The tar and nicotine also coat PC boards and becomes conductive. The point to point chassis' can take a lot more smoke and keep on going. I cleaned as much as I could off the boards to prevent this from happening. It should be ok now, and not stink when it gets hot

ugh, I can only imagine what it would smell like to a non-smoker when that thing gets good and toasty inside...disgusting.

Sorry for the delay-this photo shows the closest I have, both too long. Worth the trouble of modifying them? Maybe replace both front ones? I think the threads are wrong for your cabinet, for one thing. If you did want to give them a try just let me know.

Thanks Bryan, no worries on the delay. This set's gonna sit a while yet. I think I might just make one at work, we have lots of goodies for making things around there. Although, if someone finds an exact replacement in the meantime, I'll take it.
Thanks again for checking it out for me.
