Let me see if I have this right: the suffix indicates the revision number, and you can go forward (replace a lower number with a higher number) but not go backward-do I have that correct, or am I just imagining things?

I have, for example, a 9-88-06, if that would work. I have some others which have lower suffixes than what you have.

essentially, yes, but as to how high a number you can go, i do not know if that will apply.

the 9-88-06 that you mention is 3 versions higher then the one i am trying to find.
the 9-88-06 may work, but it may not. it could be intended for the next chassis revision. the "JC" series chassis was not the last of the Chromacolor series.

in regards to the lower version numbers,
from what i experienced, those ones with the lower suffixes generally will not work on a chassis that calls for ones with higher version numbers.

i usually try to stick with what the chassis calls for.

Zenith had a "CRSP manual" that gave the substitution matrix for modules. I've got one somewhere - I'll look around.

It's a little blue or canary colored booklet - went from the Dura-module (CCII) sets through the Sys III and up to the digital sets.

Cheers

Here's the CRSP pages that apply to your 9-8X and higher modules. I forgot to get an image of the IF module page - will post later.

Cheers,

Smile Robert - I have all of your parts. NOS

Robert, I have every part you need in stock. I inherited them from my Uncle and found your post when Inventorying and researching each part. At this point in time I have at least four cases of new Zenith parts and tons of test equipment. I am currently posting them on eBay but it will take awhile to complete the R&D so get back to me with what you need and we'll work something out. Already sold some test equipment on eBay. Look up user ID KayCeeSalesNOLA to see what's left. I still have NOT gone through his garage/warehouse yet! fkitko@kayceesales.com
