Wanted TV Sets

I would be interested in the following:

RCA CTC-40 Lundberg posted here: http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=246017

1977-78 Zenith 19" B&W portable, model unknown, had glossy black plastic cabinet with silver trim.

Any sets branded "TG&Y"

Any "end-of-the-road" late 70's/early 80's large screen (23") B&W consoles (Admiral, Truetone, etc.)

I loved TG&Y, they always had the most random stuff in that store. Almost like a fixed swapmeet.

I have one VERY similar. It no longer has legs, but it a similar style. Free--to come and get. It has a 25BCP22 I think. Tube was weak--and some water damage to bottom of cabinet and some rust on chassis....but all is intact. has NOT been powered since WAY before the water got to it. Last time powered, about 1992...it DID have a picture and color, W/ some vertical shrinkage.

Would you be interested in this 23" Sylvania?

It's not mine but I can put you in touch with the owner, I don't know where it's located either.

Thanks, but I think I'd be getting in way over my head with that one.

I found an ad from 9/78 depicting this TV I've been searching for - no model or chassis number but it was called "The Kidwell."

On a side note, the K-Mart ad I pulled this from also contained my XL-100 in the bedroom and my Eureka vacuum cleaner!

I MAY have that Zenith. I KNOW I have one from that era, and I KNOW it has the 19GB1 type chassis--which does have the "power sentry" with VRT transformer. seems like it is black or brown with some trim or such.

I will be back in the garages this weekend, to get that CTC-40 chassis and flyback for others, and that Sylvania set. I'll check that Zenith set. it is right by the front door. right now, having to get up before 6Am every day....I am ot able to do much "messing around' in the garages till the weekend.

Ok. I checked my set. It is model JT198W. 19GB1Z chassis. That would be a 1978 model. It has a black and brown cabinet, with silver trim. Over the channel knobs are a pair of thumbwheel knobs for brightness and contrast. It comes on, sound noise, but no raster.

Not sure is that is the one you want or not, let me know.

I got that very same RCA last summer-the exact same RCA and it's a 1949 model, not an early 1950's model.
