Wanted: 1970 RCA "Lundberg" CTC-40

I'd like to find this one for sentimental reasons - it's the TV I grew up watching.

I had one of those for about a month when I was a teenager. It's one of the few sets I regret selling. I haven't seen another CTC-40 since.

If your still looking for that set. I think I might have one although I am no sure of the exact model since the serial number and other identifiers are missing. based on the pictures everything seems to be the same except the leg style. Mine is more straight where as the picture your showing is a bit more curved. email me at abikis1@aol.com if this is what your looking for

The CTC 40 was a Solid State set, that one is full of tubes so I don't think it's right, unless AUdubon's set wasn't a 40 after all or the cabinet was used for more than one set.

That's close in looks, but for all the trouble and cost I'd have to get one home I'm going to hold out for the CTC-40. Ours definitely had the power switch bar above the tuner.

If you want to sell that set abaort, list it in the classifieds here and on ETF. That looks like a nice set that I'm sure someone would want.

I have a CTC-40, but mine has a record player in the cabinet to the left and a radio to the right. Is this what you are looking for? It was my great-grandpa's, and when he passed away my dad received it. He has now passed as well and my brother and I didn't know what to do with this big set. It's in great condition. I turned it on and everything seems to work decently. The television fires up, but I can't test it for a true picture. I don't have a digital converter box and cable isn't hooked up at the house any more. If you're interested, let me know. I can get you some pictures later. I found the schematic map for technicians in the cabinet and it says RCA CTC40 on it, and the television part looks just like the picture you posted.

Actually probably CTC-39, which added accu-tint and some modifications to the HV regulator circuit to the CTC-38. I don't think any of the CTC-38's came with a 25V" picture tube.

I have a Lunberg CTC-40 that is available but Google says it is 744 miles from New Orleans to it's home northeastern Tennessee. No real hurry to move it presently but we will eventually sell the property where it is located (60 miles east of me). Wife says I have accumulated way too many "gizmos". My folks bought this set in 1970 upon my advice. It works and has a rebuilt CRT I installed back in 80s. PM me if interested.
