Hi from VA
Hi everyone. I've been playing with tube radios and related junk for about 15 years now(since I was 9), and have recently had a growing interest in TVs. So far I have a Predicta Barberpole, a '52 CBS-Columbia 21 inch plain box console, and a Pilot TV-37. I've really enjoyed reading the restoration threads on this site. The color roundies really catch my eye. I definitely don't have room for one of them, but that seems like a common problem.

I made some minor repairs shortly thereafter, and nothing has needed to be done to it since. It was still working the last time I turned it on. With that said, the past August it was caught in a flash flood in my basement. I immediately washed the red Virginia mud off the case and put it in my garage to dry. By some miracle the muddy water did not hurt the fiberboard cabinet. It presently is in line for its first ever restoration. James. |

James, I'm mostly done with the electronics in mine. Some new capacitors brought it back to life. While I was in there I checked the resistors and ended up replacing most of them too! They had drifted quite a bit.
