Don't ya just love the way it was customized, with the chassis horizontal under the CRT?! Looks like a 7, or 9.
Didn't Sylvania have a console with the chassis under the CRT in a home cabinet? Seems I saw a pic of one years ago, and the chassis pulled out somehow. Could have been just a concept model, not production.

OMG...I'd HATE to have seen that poor thing when they finally pulled it out..I bet EVERY ONE of the tubes had 1/4" of nicotine paste on it..

Ha Ha Ha ! I got a tv from a neighbor who smoked Havana's dipped in road tar. I fixed up for him, the screen turned out to be greenish, not grayish, and the antenna's were stuck in the extended position.... I fuxed with it till I got em to move... The stuff that the rod parts leached into the air as the antenna's went down choked me so bad, I had to finish doing it outside..... And yup, the stuff on the tubes re-atomized each time it was fired up.... Yuckie.....

I wish the people had stood over a little more....
Oyster Stew .40
beer .25
Budweiser .35

Did I say I want a time machine yet....?

You know one of my favorite movie scenes is when McFly gets back, or gets to 1955 and just stands there watching all the
odd customs like the 5 guys going out to service a car for the 80 cents worth of gas he most likely bought.
We can't imagine that level of service today.... Same with those prices for what most likely topped the same thing
we would get today for 4.95, and a beer for what 3.00.....

Not to mention the smiles they have on.... They look pretty happy, seen that today much....?

Looks to be an RCA CTC-7 Meredith. I see the RCA tricolor emblem just above the hue & tint controls but not the Nipper logo w/tricolor emblem that was on the CTC-9. Guess they couldn't access the controls so they just had a tech move em. Pretty slick.

sometimes all that tar preserves the chassis underneath.

Interesting observation. I have noticed when out in public such as in grocery stores and such that people don't look very happy these days. Most people are not smiling unless they run into someone they know. I get the sense that most people today are just tolerating their existence. Regarding the TV, was that control mounting location a custom cabinet or a stock configuration?

Fisher was a beer from San Francisco, so this must be close to there.

Another beer brand

I also see two Olympia beer logos and what look to be taps right below the roundies. "Oly" was a Washington State brand.
