Just came back from an old store some people were clearing out.
They gave me these vintage catalogs for free.
Love the 1969 Westinghouse catalog !

That was a disco tune. IIRC my mom talked about knowing someone from the band that played that song and was invited to watch them preform it at some club in Chicago.

Disco??? It's more in the style of a Cab Calloway tune from the big band era than a disco song.

Re : The Westinghouse catalog: I would think you couldn't GIVE AWAY a console B&W TV by then.. And the slightly better known version of "The Curly Shuffle" was by a band known as "Jump 'n' The Saddle" band..

Space Command 500 remote. I got a new-in-package remote just like that for my '73 Chromacolor a little while back. I know it's not the style that came with the set originally, but I prefer the newer style and the guy who sold me the TV forgot to bring along the original remote anyway.

Don't rely on that list. I've seen it and noticed wrong dates. Also, 1973 is missing altogether. The package my remote is in calls it a replacement transmitter, so it's sort-of correct for the set as it's newer. The 600X remote is missing from the list, as is its replacement, the squared-off unit with a white power/volume button. Certain others are missing too.

Watch the power button color, its what counts.
Blue was the last "clicker" style & was compatable with battery
op ultra hand units IIRC. Orange was before that etc. Silver
was also used but I dont remember the order. Also remember you can usually swap out tuning bars to get things right.
Zenith had a space command cross reference guide abt 1980 that
showed them all. One of us will find one one of these days !
Wish I saved all that stuff now, sure would have helped a lot of
people...........

I have a Space Command SP-23 service manual from July 1973 that covers the 100, 500, 500X and 600Z. Not as good as the cross-reference of course but it ought to come in handy.
