ADMIRAL 14R12 run-8

Hi,
I'm just about finished repairing an Admiral 14R12 (run 8) set. It was given to me last year. The set has a replacement flyback and 14b/c/ep4 crt that was in it. I recapped all the electrolytic, paper, some mica. Replaced resistors as needed. I also had to replace the vertical output transformer and HV anode cap.
I washed the cabinet with soap & water. Does anyone have experience with
polishing/ waxing bakelite ? I was hoping to get the outside of the cabinet to look as shinny as the inside with out resorting to lacquer. Otherwise I will just leave it as is.
Ed
