A Uniden Bearcat BC-175XL scanning radio, which I'm yet to figure out how to use properly. Whoever tried it before I got to it plugged in an adapter that puts out 15 volts AC when the unit requires 12 volts DC, yikes. It doesn't seem to be damaged though. I cut off the improper adapter and rigged the wires to the power supply I normally use for running car stereos on the bench.

I guess records are the way to go!!!
Except for a couple of cassette singles that I could not find as 45s and a few others, I never bought cassettes that were already recorded (audio OR video). The usual process was, buy the album, then make a copy on a (good, Type 3 or metal) cassette to play in the car. Once CDs came out, my music buying skyrocketed, since they were so much easier to deal with than albums (or tapes) and sounded better, too.

The one I got months ago from salvation army was in bad shape, noise and skips all thru it (BSK 3109) Quite sad indeed.... This one looks IN MUCH BETTER SHAPE... (I got this @ a friends place who sells records also (Its not his main business though))

A good signal cable for the LG L192WS monitor I found there two weeks back. It was attached to another monitor, I separated it, told where it came from and asked if I could buy it on its own. No problem. This fixed the image ghosting problem. The cost after my discount? 37 cents!

I'm 68 years old and I always liked Motown and still do.
Holland, Dozier and Holland, like the Beatles are brilliant songwriters.

A pretty nice RCA VHS-HQ VCR. Not sure what year it's from but definitely an older one. It's pouring rain today, so I left it under the counter at the store with a "sold" sign taped to it. Also, while going through the electronics section to tie up cords as needed, I found the antenna for my Uniden Bearcat scanner (see post #62), which will also be good for running my car stereos on the bench. I tried the scanner with a regular aftermarket car antenna. This will be much tidier.

Got the VCR home, it's an RCA VMT285, apparently an '86 model. My remote is different.
