Transoceanic

If you have questions or problems with the TO let me know. I have all of them except the military 500 and the last one from 82. Easy for me. Great score by the way

Yes, most of the good old TVs seem to be in Michigan...and everywhere else except northeastern Ohio. I live near Cleveland and hardly ever see any postings here from anyone in this area, except fsjonsey who must be somewhere nearby. As far as old TVs, radios and such being listed on eBay and/or CL from this area are concerned, though, I rarely see anything from this area. Is there something about Michigan (the Detroit area and other parts of the state) that makes it more desireable for old TVs, radios and such than elsewhere on the Great Lakes? Cleveland had three TV stations (one for each major network) by 1950, so I'd think there would still be folks in this area who may have their (or their folks') first TV set stashed away in a garage, attic, basement, etc. by now...in questionable condition, of course, after all this time.

Free stuiff updates

Both 21FJ tubes show good on the BK. The 7" Teletone checks out
excellent, a bright raster and good video with the digital converter.
As to the CTC16, The Vertical output transformer has a short.
I ordered one from Moyer.
My original intent was to use the glass tube in the CTC5. The 16 has the
later type of mounting hardware, so I decided to repair the 16 instead and
look about to find the older kind of mounting hardware for the glass tube
in the CTC5, anybody have a tube shroud and 4 brackets they do not
need? I would trade a 21fj for them.
