They were about 9" long on our 1972 RCA.

If it has decent set of period correct looking legs that look good on the cabinet that should be good enough.
Menards sells un finished legs like that in various lengths... I bought a set of long ones to replace the missing ones on my 29JC20 and painted them to match the blonde finish.... Hard for anyone but an expert to tell they are not original and hard to tell they are not period after market parts....If something is original or tasteful period after market I tend to regard it as part of the sets history.

You can usually scale them from the picture since you already know the dimensions of the set. I had to do this to a resto I did which didn't have any legs. If it looks right in the picture it will look right in real life.

first of all, i took the picture from the internet. it is not an actual picture of my set. i have the same model. now, i am sure that set is sitting on legs that are taller than 6 inches. i am asking becasue I am not sure. i dont think the the legs i got with my set are the right ones. then again, maybe they are, and maybe they arent. thats why i was asking

Yours has the right size legs, the one pictured here is a metal table top meant for floor or table. I have another set like yours, also with the shorter legs. Forget the cabinet name at the moment..

Apparently no one makes that size of brass leg caps anymore. GRR.

Well they do make brass spray paint....If you have higher standards more time and patience, and don't mind handling chemicals you could electroplate them... might also find a shop to do that.

hard to paint brass caps if they are missing. i guess my initial post wasnt clear enough that i stated i pulled that picture off the internet, my camera is crap, so that isnt a picture of my set. heck, i didnt even realize that is isnt the same model either. its close.
