Saw an interesting Mitsu VHS today

I didn't get it but it was cool.

It was a portable VHS player/recorder but it was upright, basically shaped like a Boom Box but with a VHS recorder instead of a Tape player and speakers.
It was in a red plastic cabinet with a fold down handle, it had a DIN style input for a Camera on the end but it looked like it would work without it.
I can't find one online to show you, didn't take a picture of it either but I've never seen one like it before.

I would have got the thing but Goodwill wanted $25 for it and I'm trying to reduce the amount of junk in my house, not add to it.

It wouldn't power up properly, the clock flashed 12:00 but it wouldn't eject, the stop light just flickered so possibly a PS problem.

That's similar, the VHS was lower and wider and the deck was on the opposite side but the basic form is the same.

Worked on many of those in the day. Willie Nelson's tour bus had one, and I would get it in the shop once or twice a year for cleaning and/or repair. (Tour manager lived in Garland.) They made a red one too.
