Those went DISCO from Sony in the 80's. Pull old one & try it. Usually
more than one is leaky. When you get it to stop you should be able to tune ch 3 in any slot. Zeno |

The others will momentarily tune and then jump back to 12. I was able to hold down 3 and see the VCR video come though. Think I will probably reassemble it as it and hope for the best.
What is the procedure for using the digital tuning? |

Aren't the directions under the little door?

You are so right. That door become detached so I had set it aside and didn’t notice the instructions printed on the inside. Thanks for the heads up.

Service notes.
When you junk something save the TACT switches. There are hundreds of styles & often get noisy. With a good assortment you can usually mouse something. A few other sets that use slide rule preset varactor tuners. Toshiba has switching diodes on each slot. Change them all, they get leaky. Sanyo / Sears. More interesting ! It uses sensors, not switches. You need to remove the panel & clean both the cabinet & sensors. First one I saw had food & mung on it, a great clue ! Zeno |
