[QUOTE=Eric H]$2895.00 BIN and the getters are silver!
It gone for US $2,895.00 BIN. An incredible low price for such a marvel of early color television. BTW: I am fixing tv sets since 1973. But in 2003 I realized the first time, that early tv sets are fitted with a round picture tube. I have never seen a round picture tube for thirty years. All what I get or saw was rectangular. That WAS cheap! I would have appraised it closer to $4500, or maybe $5500 if the CRT could be confirmed good and no rust on the flange.

That's incredible!
I am surprised. I hope we learn of what happens to it.
That is a beautiful cabinet. |

If I would have seen it before now, it would have been mine

The high bidder's profile shows they're in the USA, and have what I would call an outstanding feedback record (about 2000, with NO negs!). So it's probably someone we know of, but may not be an AK member. I don't recognize the name as being anyone I've traded with. It isn't Dr. Dan, as he isn't on eBay and he bids through me when there's something he wants. I don't think he saw this set, or you all would have seen my name on there, and thought I'd won the lottery with the size of the bid! I wonder if this is the same set that Norm Braithwaite was selling a few years ago up in Northern Cal? That one worked though, if I recall. Dr. Dan was negotiating with him, but someone else snapped it up. Charles Last edited by Kaye-Halbert TV; 07-17-2006 at 12:56 AM. |
