Mars Attacks Roundie

I know this set was mentioned before but I don't think there was a picture of it.

Seems like a made up set to me but the mask is obviously real.

Maybe a real set that's been painted?

Looks either like a real set that got painted, or a set that someone put into a different cabinet (?)

I can't remember for sure but I think this cabinet is real wood, not masonite. If so, at least it could be stripped and redone the right way. If it's masonite, then it's time to strip it and veneer over it. My Anniversary model has masonite sides, real wood top and front but all of it is a printed finish that looks.....well....sh*tty. I think I can doctor it to look nice though.

The front is wood, the rest is masonite.

Looks like the only option would be to re-veneer. I think it would be worth it though.....

I think that's a real RCA CTC7-9. I've seen that style cabinet, and it looks like that one had been done in French antique white, and maybe somebody was trying to get the paint off.

I was about to say RCA Victor myself & then I had CTC9 on my mind as well.

Okay so I'm not an American, but I have seen a lot of color TV's on here & other US sites over the years & I guess I have a darn good photographic memory for these things.

Which RCA Chassis did we go from the controls being on the side to being on the front?
