Believe it or not, before all the meandering drivel, this thread was originally about a rocket; manufactured & launched by SpaceX, and called the "Falcon Heavy." |

Uh Oh , who called the thread police ? "We got a 420 in progress , people having fun , Book em Dano !" Honestly , were this an "upstairs" thread , sure , I could see staying strictly to the thread topic , but where this IS the "off topic chat" section I think a bit of thread drift is bound to happen and is nothing to get all wound up over . Your mileage most certainly may vary ....... |

Exactly , were this a thread about the restoration of a fellow VK member's TV set you bet I'd want to see it stay on topic , at least till the thread originator got all the help they needed . But where this is an off topic thread in the off topic subforum I think thread drift is pretty much a non issue .

To bad the batteries ran out. I was really hoping to see a distant shot of the earth from the Tesla and a shot of the craft approaching Mars.

It would appear that the battery management algorithm for space bound Tesla automobiles might require a bit of optimization before the next one is sent to Mars.
