Old Sony DVD Demonstration Video from '97

A few weeks ago I found a Sony demo DVD meant to play in-stores in 1997 at the format's launch at a thrift shop. The video is hosted by Andy Pargh with clips from movies and details on the format. I uploaded it on YouTube.

Due to YouTube copyright insanity, I couldn't upload the rest that consisted of this movie and concert clips.

- Stargate (1994) (Movie Clip)
- The Fifth Element (1997) (Move Clip)
- Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) (Movie Clip)
- Golden Eye (1995) (Movie Clip)
- My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) (Movie Clip)
- My Fellow Americans (1996) (Movie Clip)
- Michael Collins (1994) (Movie Clip)
- Singin' in the Rain (1952) (Movie Clip)
- Luther Vandross - Power of Love/Love Power (Live Music Video)
- Alanis Morissette - What I Really Want (Live Music Video)
- Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Crossfire (Live Music Video)
- Eric Clapton - Layla (Live Music Video)

Pretty cool. Tough to believe it is almost 20 years old and close to being obsolete.

Technically it's been obsolete for years, but I get what you're saying. It still outsells Blu-ray handily and will likely be around for years to come even with streaming becoming the new norm.
