1959 Souvenir of Channel 5 of Porto Alegre, Brazil

I acquired this months ago. It is a cute souvenir made of wood, it is 20 centimeters high, and is very detailed, the camera moves up and down and the lens turret is functional! Never saw another one in 22 years collecting vintage TV sets and related memorabilia.

At the shop back in the early 70's we had 2 people visit from WLEV, ch 6 in
New Bedford Mass. Ch 6 was about 75 miles away & suffered adjacent
FM stations, a VERY strong ch 5 in Boston & co channel ch6 in Portland Maine.
There mission was to get more watching people them. They gave us all
NICE jackets & caps, pens, alignment tools & other doo dads.
Spent a few hours talking improving repairs. Be sure RF & IF were up to
snuff, traps adjusted & the FM break offs on the Jerrold antennas we sold
were used. Also be sure the fine tune was set to get it. I can say it
did work, most customers didnt even know there was a ch6. They appreciated
getting a "new" channel.
