GE Solid State Radio/Record Player

I wasn't sure where to post this so forgive me if it is in the wrong forum.

I just bought this very cool GE radio/record player st the local goodwill. I'm trying to find more information on it. Can anyone identify the model number?

All I can tell is it is a GE model with porti-fi (not-included) and has FM. The tags in the back are present but so faded they are unreadable. The unit does not currently power up.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

Tends to happen when ios devices and perhaps other mobiles are used to take the photos. As I recall the fix is to up-end the device.

If your computer has an image viewer with the capability to flip photos up, down, left, or right, you can use it to flip the picture as needed. I use the image viewer on my desktop system for just that purpose (and to view photos stored on the hard drive, of course); it comes in handy when I look at photos here or on eBay, etc. that are inverted or otherwise unviewable. I'm not sure why the picture of your GE RP system turned up inverted unless, as has been said, it has something to do with the camera which was used to take the photo. However, I can't imagine why or how any camera, even a smartphone camera, would invert a photo on its own, unless there are quirks in the software of certain smartphones that intentionally (!) inverts photos without the user's consent. If this is the case, I am at a loss to explain why the viewers would be designed to do this in the first place.

I hope this helps.

Judging by the Tonal 1 tonearm on the changer, it looks like a '69 to '72 model to these eyes.

GE was making tubed versions of these at least as far back as 1962....There even was a TV combo version...

I've always wanted a tube version especially the TV combo....Closest I came was a stereo only version at an estate sale out of state with a lot of good stuff....I had limited $ and had to pass on it.
