Good way to turn your set into an A/V monitor?

In my particular part of san diego, I have a line of sight to mexico and a fairly good one north east. This results in heavy interference on channel 3 and 4. Since it is unlikely anyone will broadcast in analog, what would be the best way to remove the tuner and IF strip from the circuit, leave them there in the event I want to revert back and inject an A/V signal into the set?

Is the best way to go right into the video detector and audio detector through an impedance matching circuit and decoupling cap, or is there a bit more to it than that? This already assumes that the B+ has been disconnected from the tuner and IF.
