A change of heart.

G'day all, after being a devoted fan of full wave loop antennas despite having some long term reservations about their general transmit performance, I've finally 'swapped camps' as it were, to a half wave inverted V dipole for 20 m.

After a few weeks of testing it is quite apparent that the inverted V dipole is quite superior to any full wave loop that I've used in the past 'on transmit', probably mainly due the overall improved 'effective height'.

Two bits of wire isn't much to look at, but work well it does! Regards, Felix (vk4fuq) aka catman.
