Sylvainia CRT Question

Does anyone have a Sylvania Picture Tube book to see if a 23VANP22 All New picture tube was a Matrix tube or not. I seen in an RCA Tube book that showed RCA tubes with this number was not.

I assume you mean black matrix as in Zenith "chromacolor" tube.
Odds are it is. Sylvania called the dark-light CRT's What set is it out of ?

Yes Black Matrix is what I mean. Its a all new old stock picture tube I bought. And I had assumed it was but a friend sent me a RCA list of their new and rebuilt tubes they sold and it shows that tube number was not matrix.

If you have a strong magnifier, you can just look at the tube face and see if it's a matrix tube.

I can eyeball it if there is no safety glass. Black matrix the edges of the dots are well defined and the area between dot edges is filled in with black...On regular tubes that area is gray and the dot edges tend to be fuzzier.

It has a safety glass on it and its installed in my CTC 38. It had the green halo cataract when I got it years ago and I removed it and installed a tinted safety glass to make it look more origanal. I bought the tube from Moyers in Pennsylvania in 2010 for $89. I added a picture of it right after I pulled the lens, not that, that will help much.
