That's a nice set. Doesn't someone here on AK have one similar to this?

Eric,
That is a nice example of the CTC-5 "Wingate" model. The # suggests it's the French Walnut finish cabinet. You may have seen it's brother in my collection in the Maple finish. Mine is also in extremely fine condition. You can view my "Wingate" by scrolling down on my web page. And none of the tube sockets are supposed to be "empty" in that chassis. http://community.webtv.net/stevetek/StevesCT100 |

Oldtvman is the same one that got the other Wingate in October. Wish mine had the internal stuff. I posted a picture of my empty cabinet in one of the other Wingate threads. Certainly a nice set to have.

It appears to be missing the HV cage.

Further proof that the number of collectors is limited. Best to just give it away. The right thing, in fact, is to deliver it. Drop off at 317 Reliance Ave.......

As I said eariler in the thread, I own the Maple version of this model. I was hoping the one on e-bay would go for big bucks to increase the value of my set. Not that I'm planning to sell it any time soon. As Bryan said It is a limited market as far as us collectors are concerned.
