Another Fred Astaire Early Colour Appearance
I remember watching this on WMAL-TV in D.C. on my parents' Silvertone Roundie!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_f16t1JGHo Dig the crazy camera work!!! What were they thinking? "Shindig"? "Hullabaloo"? "Wing Ding"? ("Now Explosion" was years off into the future...) "Top Ten Dance Party from the Studios of Channel Six, Augusta"? One note... years later, I found myself running around with a woman who could've been Beverly Bivens' twin from that video. I never thought about it until I saw the video. I wonder if that influenced my later preferences in female companionship? I say that having heard that other aficionados of colour TV history later realized they had been similarly influenced...

I've always loved that song. Still have the 45 too!

I don't know, but I bet today they're thinking "I hope no-one connects that with me!" Over-produced for sure.

I've got two of their albums, I like them. I remember their one hit fondly too.
