Anyone else see THIS radio on ebay ????

Yes , this is an actual old radio and yes the boobs do in fact control on/off volume and tuning . Having lived through the 1960s (when this radio was made) I will say things sure seemed a bit more permissive of this sort of thing then VS now . Can you imagine the outrage if your local Wallmart had such a radio for sale on it's shelves today ?

Standard Disclaimer ; Not my radio , no affiliation , and have no plans to buy (family harmony & all) .....

Looks like something Adam Sandler would have... even if just to be able to mention the graphic details every chance he gets.

I can't imagine china-mart regulars kicking up a fuss about anything in there as long as it's cheap.

Likely sold in X-rated book stores and mail order at that time from ads in Mens magazines. I doubt very much if it was sold in any regular stores at that time, except possibly those small gift/novelty/gag stores that existed in malls back then.

There were various items at that time and Ive owned a few novelty ones but I think Ive given them all away now. Some were pretty funny, some were dumb.

It actually isnt much worse than the Mae West Radio made way back when.

That's not who he was talking about, it's the anti-humor, political-correctness that he was referring to.

I'm thinking that's from the 80's. It's hilarious and creepy all at the same time!

Not nearly as much as a teddy bear phone that moves its mouth and eyes in synch with the audio from the person on the other end of the line...I know someone who has one.

One of the guys in the local radio club brought one of these in last month for "show and tell". Different model but same concept, around the same 80's period as well

Novelty radio collectors have at least one of these on the shelf. Radios were made in every shape, material, and style imaginable.

My basis for the 1960s date was the listing itself , which identifies the radio as being from then . Who Knows , it may well have been from the 1980s , but don't count the 1960s out , there was plenty of sex happening in the 1960s (that likely resulted in at least a few of the fellow posters around here) .....

Yep, especially until about 1964.

I just think of that sort of humor as trite and relied upon by no-talents, but I'll approve of the more unusual uses, like what the Borg-turned-frat boys did with their cutting beam on Robot Chicken. It had no point, but what would one expect if a Borg cube were taken over by a frat?

"Your culture will adapt to service us!"
"You want us to... service you?"
"Affirmative. You will service the Borg. All night if needed."
Hahahaha!
"Wait! Our hive mind has assimilated double entendres. Real mature guys. Prepare for assimilation!"

"Enough! Partying is futile!" *tries to inject nanoprobes* "Your blood! So full of beer! Your party so hearty!"
