Antique Radio Classified Magazine is back

Antique Radio Classified Radio is back today with the February, 2017 issue.

This 're-launch' issue is available for free at www.antiqueradio.com

The magazine suspended publication several years ago due to financial reasons, primarily related to the increased cost of printing and mailing hardcopy issues. Back as an online-only publication the magazine hopes to continue as a viable part of the antique electronics collecting community.

[Disclosure: I have no financial interest in the magazine. Picking up a sample copy of A.R.C. almost 30 years ago is when I first realized that there was a collecting community. I am a friend of Jon Kummer, the publisher. I've watched him struggle to keep A.R.C. afloat and I wish Jon well in this endeavor.]

I'll have to check it out. I enjoyed their publication until the recession hit and money was scarce...Subscription lapsed and they started circling the drain.

If they can put out a good consistent publication I'll come back.

The paper version, I feel, is critical for a true return. There are a good number of elderly collectors that are either computer illiterate, or running such antiquated hardware that reading a magazine on it is not enjoyable... If they do return to paper I think spreading word at the clubs and maybe mailing out a small single sheet advertising the restart and a free sample copy to subscribers that have not rejoined would be a good idea.
