Videokarma going offline for server maintenance

Around 8:00am tomorrow morning VideoKarma, along with all of Audiokarma's websites will be down while they migrate to a new, much faster server. Thank you

Grumpy

AK was suppose to be back up by afternoon...as we can see, it isn't.
I assume they have run into problems, which had delayed the work to be done here.

have been wondering all day who is going to win the free membership . i know i am pretty close .. but think i may have missed it by a few seconds .
i expect there is a lot of info to move over so will take a long time ..it will be at the mercy of the speed of the old drives . when i have copied such as 300gb it has taken many hours ..
i dont know how it works with servers but i expect it would be make an image first then test it for errors then carry on with loading the image .

I know AK was offline for a day but VK was not, not sure how it works win e I thought we were on the same server

There is currently an alert at the top of the VK forum saying the forums are turned off, but they are working, did someone forget to remove the alert?

Morning everyone, It looks like this may be the first post server migration post.
It seems we may be back now. The forum is working, the down for 24 hrs message is gone, and I can post this (hopefully). All that is left is confirmation from Grumpy.

Are attachments missing on newer posts? (Example: http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=267742) I saw attachments on some older posts so they're probably OK.

Looks like the attachments folder needs to be resynced with the new sever. I will let the hosting company know.
