I thought it said So Cal but it actually says "Sunny" Cal, well SO Cal is the Sunnier half so I guess that's why I assumed.

Am I the only one who is suspicious of the description "colored television" versus "color television", almost certainly by someone who knows English as a second language.
That does NOT mean the post is not legit, most immigrant business owners run a fine, honest business. But on the internet, this person could be -anywhere-. I suggest somebody search through the net for photos of CT-100s for the same image, that someone could "cut-and-paste" into the auction.

Another thought... The serial number of the set... is it located on the rear cover, or is it inside the set? It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask the seller to post the serial numer.

I just put a bid, and I assume it's to air. There is a 3-digit cabinet number that Ed's list should include, if it's a known set. The "colored" grammar is typical California buffoonry thing. I hear it all the time. (No relation to a no-longer-acceptable ethnic identifier). I know the cabinet numbers of most of the ones I've owned prior to the one I have now. What's odd about it is that the description is very, VERY vague for a TV collector to have written. Maybe an ex-wife or a widow/heir is selling it? Any collector would give pics of the back, and would mention the state of the tube, etc. Also most of us would say if it has the bottom cover, or if it's ever been repaired or is virgin. Some of those are big issues that would double or kill the value.
Note to any potential bidders: My bid is under $1000, and I will not rebid. I just put it in so as not to have the seller accept a ridiculous low offer if they're unaware... I'll take it in that case  . Charles

What is significant about the bottom cover? If it was missing, is it not possible to make a suitable replacement? I will possibly bid on the set as well, since I am in California and do not have a CT-100. Thanks.

A few hours ago, I emailed the seller asking for the chassis serial number. If/when I hear from him, I'll post the results.
Here's the list of published serial numbers of the CTC2 chassis. http://home.att.net/~pldexnis/input/...mbers_List.htm The cabinet numbers are less valuable for production documentation because they recycle five times with never a value higher than 999.
