British Invasion
Hi from yet another Brit, part of the invasion, it seems, headed by ppppenguin!
Main interest is in the British televisions, but it does do you good to poke your head over the partition every now and again, especially as, so many post war developments that took place in Britain seem to have occurred several years earlier in the US. TTFN, Jon |

Seriously tho', getting colour that was compatible with B&W sets using the technology available at the time was a real achievement to say nothing of the colour CRT technology. Tales of Sinclairs !?!? Here's something to view on the telly... Ironically, the cabinet is Early American.
Disregard the cheap cell phone focus, picture is much better in real life.

Hey Jon. Welcome to the forum. I hardly ever post but it's fun to watch from the sides.
Kind regards. From Mike. |

For years, I thought the only things fit to listen to on Shortwave were Swiss Radio International, & the BBC...Almost everybody else, w/the sometimes exception of Deutsche Welle, was a bunch of little boys playing radio on their dad's ham set...

Although, as a kid, hearing BBC at the top of the hour always spooked me for some reason. Something about those chimes...
