I don't get it! .... on several threads you have mentioned that the flat screen looks much better than your earlier TVs, especially on the Roku streamer and the channels that you could get off the air during various antenna experiments. Why would you drop back to lower quality viewing? If anything, I would use the future death of your 19" Insignia as a good excuse to upgrade to a larger set... 32" to 42" would be much better for your viewing distance (stated at about 10 feet).

just my 2 cents,
jr

In the past week I gained 5 CRT sets .Nothing special. 2 dead and 3 that work good. All with front and back monitor jacks.

The cord clipping ahole was making his rounds and got 4 sets snipped.

19 " stereo TV GE Hospital/Hotel set with FM stereo radio which works great .A 1980's 20 " Stereo Mitsubishi set which is dead. 19 " stereo Magnavox that works great. The other 2 I cant recall the brand but I do remember there was one dead set and the other worked great.

I had to reject a 40" projection set since I dont have a truck to haul it and room to put it.So far that makes it 3 projection sets I could not pick up this year.

I think I'm at about 25 by now. I'm into the aircraft carriers, so I've got 5 of those. Haven't yet got to the point where I've begun 3 dimensional collecting (stacking sets).....

The Hallicrafters set you have is probably a 14" set.
Does the smaller Sony Wega work well? If so, I'm interested.

At last count, 13 tv's. The only ones of interest are

1950 rca console
1952 crosley table top
1953 admiral table top
1956 packard bell console
1957 zenith console
1963 zenith portable
1982 rca console
1988 quasar in a custom case

the rest are assorted 70s and 80s bpc's, as well as the flatscreen my brother bought me.
