New from Arizona
I've been collecting radios and tvs for a number of years now. I have a 1959 Magnavox console b/w tv that I use often and a mid 60's RCA color tv that I use all the time. I have several other vintage tvs, some work and some need work. I just recently learned about this site, and decided to check it out.

Here is the 1959 Magnavox. I'm watching an episode of Perry Mason on it.
Here is my Philco Microgrid. That is me beside it. The picture was taken about 3 years ago. Here is an odd one. It is a Stromberg Carlson. It was made and sold in Mexico. I don't have much more info on it though. One of my future projects. I also have this Douglas tv. All the controls for the tv are on the chairside table with a phonograph. Another future project. I have quite a few more, I will post later. |

Welcome! Good to hear of older sets being used as "daily drivers". A mid-60s RCA color set though? I hope you have a fan in that one.

Welcome! It was very common in the late 70s for big console combo sets like that to have a new TV installed.

Bill: I haven't found out much information on the SC. I do have the original paperwork for it. Unfortuneatly it is all in Spanish. Even all the writing on the set iteself is in Spanish. The turntable is a Gerrard. The whole set needs a lot of work. The house were it was sitting had leaked and so there is quite a bit of water damage to the set. It is currently out in storage. I hope to restore it one day.
