Magnavox early23" color rescue?

There's one of the first-year Magnavox color TV-phono combos listed with the whistler remote, and the solenoids for remote record reject. Kind of rare these days. I'm sure hoping someone else saw this, and plans to bid on it so I don't feel so compelled

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180341659038

It's sitting at $2.50 no bids, with the seller threatening to part it out (record changer), and/or to donate it to a sure death at the Salvation Army. I'll consider bidding, if nobody else is able/interested here. Seller also says he listed it before, so I bet this is the end of the line.

If i was closer i would snag this in a heartbeat. I've owned these before and they work quite well once gone through. I hope someone saves this.

Handset or remote chassis? If it's the handset, I would buy it from you for my Maggie, does it have the button for the TT?

A few hours to go (as of Friday noontime), and still only 1 bid at $2.50. I didn't bid, as I really don't want to haul that thing all the way home and lose 3 or 4 miles per gallon due to that extra weight...

I eMailed the seller and said I'd come get it if the one bid is a fake, or if the winner just wants the remote, or something. We'll see what happens!
