OK, that definitely sound like the HO is not running or the HO tube bias is way off.

The grid bias on the HO tube is gone to zero. So, I'll move upstream once more and do K6. The parts list includes some normal values, but one of the caps is shown as a 50000 pf ! That's .05uf, right? An orange drop that value will be almost as big as the whole network! I found a 50000pf Vishay ceramic disc at Allied and Mouser, but it is 20%. Think that will work long term??

Sure, I plan on using a ceramic in mine too. I'm pretty sure that's what the originals is made from. A C0G or NP0 type would be best because they don't drift with temperature. Looks like there's barely an voltage on it according to the schematic.
