Major Destruction

I don't think I have ever seen a movie where there was so much destruction of about everything that would be worth plenty today. 1966 Cadillac convertible, 1960 Oldsmobile Convertible, SCIII Rolls Royce, many more and guess what?

They must have run this on TV a few years after release - I vaguely remember a few of those scenes in the trailer.

Back when that movie was made roundies like that could be had at yard sales for $10, most of the cars were just "Old Cars" then too.

Hard to imagine a Roger Corman film having the budget to wreck a Rolls, it may have been a real heap, it was a wise investment though, his $600,000 movie made $15 Million 1977 dollars at the Box Office.

I saw it at a drive in. Or I guess I should say I was at a drive in and it was playing. Don't think I watched it much. That wasn't the point in those days.

I loved that movie, I always got a big kick out of it when I was a kid.

Wow! I last saw that movie in the late 80s when i was a kid, it was also my first sighting of a roundie set, back then i didn't understand why i couldn't find TVs with this cool round screen...

Of course i couldn't, as here in Italy the very first color sets were sold in the early 70s and were rectangular hybrids. only a handful of used, imported and modified roundies were sold here back then

By the way, i remember many old movies with gunfights where TVs got shot, which is rarely seen in more recent movies.
