Question philco 1951

I have an original 1951 philco t2130 upright console TV still in partial working order which was purchased new by my grandparents. No picture tho Believe the 20dp4 crt is not functioning. Any one have a replacement or know of where I could get it worked on? I am in NW Indiana near Chicago. Thx. Tim

Don't jump to conclusions. Picture tube failures are rare. First see if you have high voltage, and if the CRT heater lights.

With sets that old capacitor replacement is basically essential to getting them to work.

Though I would still find somebody to check the CRT before paying to recap the set.

CRTs can cost more than a set with a good CRT, so unless you know it is bad and have tried and failed to rejuvenate the bad CRT looking for a replacement is normally a waste of time and money.

I found them in his album: http://www.videokarma.org/album.php?albumid=645

Nice split chassis design - easy to work on.
