1954 Prototype CBS colour TV photo
G'day all.
I have been searching through Google books for everything related to TV and cameras and in 4th January 1954 edition of LIFE magazine I have found an oddball CBS prototype colour TV that I've not seen anywhere else on the web not even the ETF site so thought I'd alert you all on this set. The article and photo can be viewed via this link: http://books.google.com.au/books?id=...ion%22&f=false I have done a screen dump of the page and enlarged the TV photo and have attached it to this message for you all to see.

I had this edition of Life when I was a kid, and have been looking for it because of this article for many years. Thanks for the post.

Interesting post thanks.
The wireless music box has no commercial value. Who would pay for a message sent to nobody in particular? David Sarnoff's associate's in the 1920's |

Yes, that set is sitting in my living room. It came from the basement of a retired CBS engineer out on Long Island NY. Its prototype RCA CRT is down to air.
