Test.... Look at the color tv guidebook. What does that guy has his hand on? THAT was Zenith's attempt of making purity rings out of Masonite (with some metal sandwiched in between)! hahahaha What a piece of junk that was. Tossed a lot of those. You will NEVER get decent purity with one of those. Neat covers. I like the "Wink" cover. Seeing the word "gayety"
on the cover takes one back to when "gay" meant happy" Thanks

Wayne:

I was wondering the same thing. I teach color sensation and perception in my physiology classes. The article is probably fairly accurate as the Young-Helmholtz Trichromatic Theory was empirically confirmed in 1964.

I dug out my copy of this issue.
The teaser on the cover "How You See Color" is titled "How We See Color" on page 34. It doesn't deal with how human's see or perceive color. It is pretty much a primer on how the color picture tube reproduces a color image on the screen. It discusses convergence, the shadow mask and the three gun assembly. Fairly dry stuff that fills 2 pages.

Well, yes, but I think it was unintended; the primary theme of the issue is color TV so Steckler probably subconsciously appended 'TV' to the blurb when he wrote it.
