I was going to respond, strongly.
But with only 2 B/W and 5 color, I'm chump change. (However, with a new Mit's 48413, and High Definition cable, I win!) At least, in my own mind. Last edited by Bob R; 10-08-2003 at 08:39 PM. |

You know that you have just raised the bar way too high for most of the rest of us slobs to match. I mean common, did'ja have to make that claim in public? Seriously, hats off to you brother! Wow, there are some fine collections here eh!? I'll have to tabulate my own modest collection of mostly non-restored sets. |

Hi Charlie, no they're not.
Currently there are only 39 sets listed on my site. Some of the sets on my list are duplicates, some need finish work to be presentable, a very few are beyond repair, mostly tho I just haven't got around to photographing them yet. Eric Quote:

Modern sets
My list didn't include any newer SS stuff.
1990 27" Sony XBR 1991 Sony 20" 1980s? RCA 9" (Thrift Store Special) 1981 Sharp 5" AC/DC (Thrift Store Special) 1991 Mitsubishi 27" (Goodwill special, has a vertical problem and is probably headed for the dumpster) |

That's OK. As I see it, this thread was started for the express purpose of "bragging" ! |

Most of the sets I have arnt worth bragging about as there really is no desire for the types I have. Thats why I get as many as possible as they dont cost to much and still use tubes.

Welcome!
bgadow,
Welcome to AK! I seem to recall seeing your monaker over at the other site. I haven't been there in a long time. There's plenty to keep my interest here. That is a nice collection you have. Is that homemade kit TV from 1948 nice? Can you post more info and pics of any of your collection? It is really easy to do with the software AK uses. |

WhiteSE,
Many of the TV's that members of this forum have don't work. You are in good company here! If your blowed-up TV is a vintage round screen tube color set, you can still brag about it here too! |

Rob,
I have been waiting for a tube-type digital camera! No, really, I'm a cheapskate, so no pics to share-yet. Hopefully in the next few months I'll remedy that. The Transvision is pretty neat, my wife's favorite, I think. The cabinet is sorta "Eames-like", makes heavy use of plywood, maple colored, I guess. Includes all the original plans. I feel guilty because I bought this several years ago at the Radioactivity auction for only $35. I hardly ever watch tv, but nearly anything is worth watching on a well-tuned tube color set. Sometimes I just sit there dumbstruck! This is a great site! |
